I wanted to make Valentine’s Day extra special for my toddler. I also did not want to go overboard and spend tons of money on this little holiday. In the morning I set out just a few small gifts and a card. The gifts included a Play-Doh tool kit, stickers and an invisible ink coloring book. I hung a few heart-themed decorations and voilà he had an exciting morning to come down to.

Another extra special touch was heart shaped pancakes. Not crafty? You don’t need to be a simple heart-shaped silicone mold will do the trick.

In the afternoon we build a couch fort and had some messy fun. We try to make even the simplest of holidays special for our toddler. I hope to be making his childhood magical.
